Kult (PL)

The Polish rock band Kult was founded in Warsaw in 1982 and has become one of the key acts in the country’s alternative music scene. Their sound blends genres such as alternative rock, punk, jazz, and reggae, and is known for its distinctive horn section, energetic live performances, and the powerful lyrics of vocalist Kazik Staszewski.

With over 3,000 concerts, appearances at major festivals, and performances across Europe, Brazil, and the United States, the band has built a strong live reputation. Kult has also remained continuously active for more than 40 years.

In 2026, they will embark on their final “Trasa Pomarańczowa” tour abroad. On October 25, they will perform at Bibelot in Dordrecht, delivering an evening of Polish music history.

De Poolse rockband Kult werd in 1982 opgericht in Warschau en groeide uit tot een van de belangrijkste acts binnen de Poolse alternatieve muziekscene. Hun muziek combineert stijlen als alternative rock, punk, jazz en reggae en staat bekend om de herkenbare blazerssectie, energieke liveoptredens en de sterke teksten van zanger Kazik Staszewski.

Met meer dan 3.000 concerten, optredens op grote festivals en shows in onder andere Europa, Brazilië en de VS, heeft de band een indrukwekkende live-reputatie opgebouwd. Kult is bovendien al meer dan 40 jaar onafgebroken actief.
